Moldovan delighted with Nantes return

By Patrick Haond
Viorel Moldovan says that he is delighted to be back at French side Nantes and will wait until Christmas to make his return to action if he fails to get special permission from Fifa to play.

The Romanian striker is back with Les Canaris after cancelling his contract in the Middle East at Al-Wahda.

Moldovan left Nantes at the end of last season after a strained relationship with former boss Angel Marcos, but the arrival of Loic Amisse has made him reconsider.

The 31-year-old is waiting to see if he is allowed to play straight away but even if he is not, he is willing to wait until the winter transfer window to confirm his return to La Beaujoire.

"Everything is clear. In the worse case, I will wait until the winter transfer window if I can't be considered as a joker," said Moldovan.

"I feel to be here forever. I have quickly found my way in the team."

Meanwhile, Domingo Goncalves Gomes will probably not be staying at Nantes after an unsuccessful trial spell with the club.

The Brazilian full back was on trial for several weeks but Amisse has decided not to sign him for now, but will keep an eye on him should he remain in France.
