Moldovan wants Nantes stay

Nantes striker Viorel Moldovan says that he would like to remain with the club next season.

The Romanian marksman has had a good season with Les Canaris, grabbing 11 goals in just ten games.

Moldovan would like to extend his stay at La Beaujoire beyond the end of the season, and hopes he can strike a deal.

He admitted to having contact with clubs in England and Italy, and says that a move to Serie A would suit him the best - should he have to leave Nantes.

"The club knows perfectly what I want," said the 31-year-old. "I have good hope.

"If not, I have contact in England and Italy, but if I have to chose, I will favour Italy.

"That suits my game more.

"If I will go, I will leave alone, my wife and two children will stay at Nantes."
