Nantes keeper Mickael Landreau has launched a bitter attack on the club's chairman.Nantes goalkeeper Mickael Landreau has launched a bitter attack on chairman Jean-Luc Gripond, saying he has done a demolition job on the club.
Les Canaris are struggling in Ligue 1, and are languishing near the foot of the table battling against relegation.
The club captain says that Gripond is destroying the club from the inside and believes he is to blame for their poor season.
"He has done a demolition job," fumed Landreau in an interview in France Football.
"The situation at the club has never been so critical. There are fights all the time at the club and it's getting worse.
"It's a terrible atmosphere with nothing good that can be said about it.
"Except for himself, he doesn't want anyone else to exist.
"His ambition is divide and rule. He dislikes everyone. Inside the club there is a true rejection toward him."
Gripond has responded calmly to Landreau's attack on him, saying that he will wait until he talks to the captain before taking any action.
"I don't want to make any knee-jerk comments, nor start a useless controversy," said Gripond.
"At the moment we need to be together. What has been said is quite violent. But we will take things calmly and take stock.
"We will have to sit down and talk about things with him and his team-mates, probably on Wednesday.
"We need time to ascertain why Mikael said these things and why at this moment.
"But we must not lose track of what matters most. We are lying 17th in the league and we need to pull together."
The row is the last thing the club need with their continuing struggle against relegation.
