The Marca website describes Rafael Benitez as a "sitting duck", and also focuses on the Real Madrid fans' calls for president Florentino Perez to "resign".

"Now or in June. The sacking of Benitez only lacks a date because the decision has already been taken after the debacle suffered by Real Madrid against Barcelona in the Bernabeu," Marca published on Sunday.

After Barcelona's "landslide" victory, the sports daily also referenced the applause from the Bernabeu crowd for Andres Iniesta, just as they did 10 years ago for Ronaldinho after his famous performance at the home of their rivals.

The Brazilian legend received a standing ovation in 2005 after scoring twice in Barca's 3-0 win, a defining image in El Clasico's history.
