Malaga have completed the signing of highly-rated winger Jony Rodriguez from La Liga rivals Sporting Gijon.
The 24-year-old, who recorded five goals and nine assists to help Sporting avoid relegation last season, has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Andalusian outfit.
Rodríguez was developed in the youth squads of Real Oviedo and FC Barcelona - where he participated in the 2008/09 and 2009/10 seasons in La Masía's youth team.
In May 2014, he debuted for Sporting Gijon in the Segunda division, and was played a part in the 'Sportingguistas' promotion to the first division.
The winger helped secure Malaga's La Liga safety in the 2015/16 season, and quickly became known as one of club's stand-out players.
A Malaga statement read: "Malaga confirm, after the arrival of Keko Gontan, their second signing for the 2016/17 campaign: Jony Rodriguez, another of the most coveted youngsters from the last Primera Division season."
