Sevilla's Stevan Jovetic scored a dramatic late winner to end Real Madrid's record unbeaten run

Take a look at the injury-time winner from Stevan Jovetic which ended Real Madrid's 40-game unbeaten run.

With the scores level at 1-1 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium heading into the dying minutes of the match, the former Manchester City striker pulled off the heroics to end Madrid's incredible record.

Jovetic picked up the ball from a pass from full-back Pablo Escudero and then, from around 25-yards out, powerfully curled the ball around Real's goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who got a hand to it but was unable to keep it out.

The result means Real Madrid top the La Liga table by just one point, with Sevilla up to second ahead of Barcelona, who beat Las Palmas 5-0 on Saturday afternoon.

After a cagey first half, Real Madrid took a 66th-minute lead through a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty after Dani Carvajal was brought down by Sevilla goalkeeper Sergio Rico.

But Jorge Sampaoli's men emerged as the winners thanks to an own goal from Sergio Ramos and Jovetic's late winner.
