Chelsea and Juventus target Stefan Savic from Atletico Madrid

Chelsea and Juventus are in talks to sign Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic, according to Sky in Italy.

Savic, a former Manchester City player, has spent three seasons with Atleti since joining the club from Fiorentina in 2015.

The 27-year-old Montenegro international made 36 appearances for the club last season and was an unused substitute in the Europa League final against Marseille.

Juventus are looking to bolster their defensive ranks after allowing veteran full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner to join Arsenal on a free transfer earlier this summer.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are expected to sign reinforcements this summer after missing out on Champions League football following their fifth-place finish in the Premier League.

Atletico Madrid completed the signing of defensive midfielder Rodri in May, while the Spanish club have also reached a preliminary agreement with Monaco for the transfer of Thomas Lemar.
