Striker Uche Ikechuwku is looking forward to the challenge ahead of him at Getafe after being officially presented by the Primera outfit.
The 23-year-old Nigerian spent the previous four seasons with Recreativo de Huelva, but opted for a move to Madrid-based Getafe this summer.
He enjoyed a promising debut season in La Primera, bagging eight goals in 22 league starts and is now looking to push on next term with his new employers.
"I have come to give everything I have and to work hard for my team-mates," he told reporters.
"Getafe are the club that pushed hardest for me from the start. They tried harder than other clubs and that is why I am here."
The Nigerian is also looking forward to working with new Getafe manager Michael Laudrup.
"As a player everyone knew who he was," he added. "I used to watch him when he played for Barcelona, when I was young.
"Although I don't know a lot about him as a manager I am hopeful things will work out well."
Getafe have also presented another recruit from Recreativo, defender Mario.
