Anderlecht striker Romelu Lukaku's agent claims that some of Europe's top clubs remain in the hunt for his signature, but his asking price is too high.
The 17-year-old Belgian is one of Europe's hottest properties after attracting a whole host of interest from some of the biggest names in club football over the past year.
Already a regular for his club and a full international, Lukaku has been touted as the new Didier Drogba by some for his powerful style of play.
Anderlecht have reportedly placed his valuation at over £20million, but despite scoring just two goals since Christmas, his agent Christophe Henrotay still feels his big move will come if the price is right, and claims that Barcelona have made enquiries.
"Europe's top clubs are interested. Yes, Barcelona inquired, but at this price they would rather deal with a Spanish player," he told Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.
"If Romelu only cost six million, then he would have gone to Barcelona.
"The problem is that for many clubs he is too expensive.
"Until now there were two offers on paper. At the end of the season I expect that many clubs will be knocking."
Talking about Lukaku's slump in front of goal, Henrotay responded: "He is still developing his game.
"He has also had a few injuries and felt the pressure.
"Romelu is only 17 years of age, it is certainly nothing alarming. Interested teams have not been influenced by criticism in the media."
