Atletico Madrid are poised to complete the signing of goalkeeper Jan Oblak from Benfica.
The 21-year-old Slovenian revealed on Monday that he had decided to swap Lisbon and the Primeira Liga champions for the Spanish capital, thus becoming Thibaut Courtois' long-term replacement at the Vicente Calderon.
Belgium international Courtois has returned to Chelsea after spending three prosperous seasons on loan with Atletico, who won the Primera Division and reached the Champions League final last season.
A statement published on Atletico's official website on Wednesday said Oblak had agreed to sign a six-year contract as soon as he had passed a medical.
The Skofja Loka-born keeper signed for Benfica in 2010 from Slovenian side Olimpija and spent his first three years in Portugal out on loan before becoming the Lisbon side's number-one choice for the 2013-14 campaign.
He won a treble of the Portuguese league title, domestic and league cups, but played as Benfica lost the Europa League final to Sevilla on penalties.
Atletico director of football Jose Luis Perez Caminero told clubatleticodemadrid.com: "He is a goalkeeper of great quality who has a great future ahead of him, and he will offer us a lot.
"He is one of the keepers with a burgeoning reputation in the world and we are very happy to have him. This is great news for our club."
The news arrives on the same day that Atletico announced they had agreed to sell Brazilian left-back Filipe Luis to Chelsea.
