Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema will miss Real Madrid's friendly against Tottenham this week through injury.

The club have confirmed that Ronaldo hurt his back in training on Monday, while Benzema pulled a muscle in his right thigh, and both have been omitted from the squad for the Audi Cup.

Real face Spurs at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Tuesday, with the winners to face either AC Milan or Bayern Munich in the final on Wednesday.

The two forwards are not considered to be doubtful for Real's La Liga opener against newly-promoted Sporting Gijon on August 23.

Benzema has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer but Emirates boss Arsene Wenger says no deal is being considered for the former Lyon striker.
