Sky Bet have slashed the odds on Sergio Aguero making a controversial switch from Altetico Madrid to arch-rivals Real Madrid following some heavy backing.
Speculation has heightened over who will get their hands on the 22-year-old Argentina striker after he revealed his intentions to leave the Vicente Calderon following another disappointing campaign.
Real are thought to be among several top European clubs alerted by Aguero's announcement with big-spending Manchester City also likely to be interested as they prepare for their first season in the Champions League.
But it is Jose Mourinho's side who head the betting to land his signature with a stream of big punts prompting Sky Bet to cut their odds on a Bernabeu move for Aguero from 5/1 to 1/2.
City are second favourites at 7/2, a price which is likely to shorten significantly if captain Carlos Tevez decides to leave the club, while Chelsea and Juventus are both 4/1 having previously been linked with moves.
Sky Bet's PR Manager Helen Jacob said: "News that Aguero intends to leave Atletico was followed by a flurry of bets on Monday night for him to join Real, prompting us to cut the price significantly.
"With the Spanish press reporting the striker is set for talks with the Bernabeu-based outfit, punters have continued to take the short price."
Despite scoring over 100 goals during his five years at Atletico, 'Kun' has only collected one major trophy in last season's Europa League and is now seeking to further his career with Atletico missing out on a Champions League berth again this season.
He said: "After five intense years, this stage for me personally is over and I have to give way to a new one.
"I'm about to turn 23 and I have everything before me. Suffice it to say that this is not an economic issue but strictly a sporting one."
