Reports had linked the 19-year-old with a move to Camp Nou, but he is contracted to the Amsterdam ArenA until 2005 and he says he intends to see this out.
"It is just a rumour," said Chivu. "I do not want to think about a transfer, I just want to play for Ajax."
Meanwhile, Ajax coach Co Adriaanse has promoted youngsters Pius Ikedia and Daniel Cruz to the first team squad for the game with Vitesse Arnhem.
Ikedia, 20, and 19-year-old Cruz have both previously played for the first team and Adriaanse could again give the pair another chance to prove themselves at the weekend.
