Barca are scouring the transfer market for a defensive midfielder after a spate of long-term injuries.
The Catalans have lost both Edmilson and Thiago Motta - as well as full back Gabri - to knee ligament complaints, and want to bring in reinforcements during the January transfer window.
They have been linked with a host of names including Dietmar Hamann and Gerrado Torrado, but Tacchinardi is reported to be top of their wish-list - along with Olivier Dacourt.
However, Juve have now attempted to end speculation about a possible swoop for the 29-year-old by insisting they have no intention of selling him.
"Barcelona are insisting on Tacchinardi, but our intention is not to sell him," Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi told El Mundo Deportivo.
"Right now it is not in our head that Tacchinardi might leave because we have a lot of confidence in him."
