Giuly joy at return

Ludovic Giuly is delighted to be back in the Barcelona side after an injury lay-off.

The former Monaco star was hugely frustrated to have been sidelined during October and blamed Barca doctors for failing to pick up the calf injury which he aggravated against Numancia.

However, after returning in the fixture against Athletic Bilbao a couple of weeks ago, the France international has rediscovered his early season form and cemented a first-team berth.

"I have forgotten the injury blow," he stated. "My objective is now to show what I can do again. I am happy now.

"The match against Deportivo has given me a lot of confidence, everything is possible again.

"I want to play for Barcelona for many reasons, mostly because they are a club that can win titles.

"This is a great club and I am convinced we can win La Liga and the (UEFA) Champions league."

Giuly also revealed he was particularly looking forward to Barca's eagerly-anticipated clash with arch rivals Real Madrid on November 21, and admitted he has dreamed of playing in 'El Clasico' since childhood.

"I have always hoped to play in a Barca-Real Madrid game," he continued.

"Since I was little I have always had this dream and I am hopeful of playing at Camp Nou, it is a special match."
