Fenerbahce say they will do their utmost to sign Barcelona's Rustu Recber.Fenerbahce say they will do their utmost to complete the permanent signing of Barcelona shot stopper Rustu Recber.
The Turkish custodian has just completed a loan spell at his former club, and returns to Catalonia after a failed start to his career in Spain.
After signing in the summer of 2003 Rustu was overlooked in favour of emerging talent Victor Valdes, although he has voiced a desire to prove himself at Camp Nou in the coming season.
However despite Rustu's insistence the Turkish outfit remain hopeful that he will opt to continue his career in his home country.
Fenerbahce director Ilhan Eksioglu warned that the capture of the talented keeper may not prove easy, whilst insisting that he would do everything in his power to seal a permanent deal.
"Talks continue for Rustu with mutual intent, but it's not an easy task," said Eksioglu.
"Rustu wants to remain here and we want him to as well.
"We are forcing every barrier, including buying Rustu outright instead of loaning him."
Meanwhile Fenerbahce have completed the signing of another keeper, Bursaspor's Serdar Kulbilge, as they look to cover the departure of third choice keeper Recep Biler irrespective of Rustu's potential signing.
