Barcelona have been dumped out of the Copa del Rey by Real Zaragoza.Barcelona have been dumped out of the Copa del Rey despite claiming a 2-1 win on the night against Real Zaragoza at Camp Nou.
The Catalan giants, who had Ronaldinho sent off in the first half, crash out 5-4 on aggregate following Zaragoza's surprise 4-2 win in the first leg.
In-form Argentine wizard Lionel Messi had chances to open the scoring early on but the main talking point in the first period was a straight red card for Ronaldinho for a foul on Cani.
The sending off looked a harsh decision but Barca were undeterred and took the lead through a Messi header from Ludovic Giuly's cross.
Andres Iniesta hit the base of the post in the second period as Barca pressed to draw the tie level but when Zaragoza midfielder Oscar was found free the tie was effectively over thanks to his cool finish.
Henrik Larsson grabbed an injury time winner but it is Zaragoza that progress to play Real Madrid in the semi-final.
In the night's other tie, Deportivo La Coruna and Valencia played out the final 46 minutes of their quarter final behind closed doors at the Mestalla, after last week's game had been abandoned.
Valencia started proceedings 1-0 ahead and one-man short but the game on the night finished in a 1-1 draw, thanks to Victor's penalty after Senel was pulled back by David Albelda.
The result means that Depor progress to the semi-final stage after winning the first leg 1-0.
