Barcelona midfielder Edmilson is back in training following his knee operation.
Barcelona and Brazil midfielder Edmilson says he felt no pain as a result of his knee operation, when he made his return to training.
The 30-year-old missed this year's World Cup after suffering from torn cartilage in his right knee when his international side were preparing for the tournament in Switzerland at the end of May.
"I felt very good and did not notice any pain," he was quoted saying in El Mundo Deportivo.
The midfielder has suffered from an injury in his right knee before, and was ruled out for almost a full season in his first year with Barcelona, after tearing his cruciate ligaments.
Edmilson moved to Camp Nou from French side Lyon in 2004 and is now hoping to regain full fitness after his operation on June 1.
The Spanish and European champions returned to training on Monday, in a session which saw Barcelona new-boy Eidur Gudjohnsen joining up with his team-mates for the first time.
The 27-year-old sealed his é¼12 million [£8.2 million] switch from Chelsea in June, and he recognises that a first-team place is far from guaranteed.
"I know I've come to a great team where there are a lot of quality players," said the Iceland international.
"I know that I won't be playing every game, but I'm determined to win myself a place in the side."
