Sevilla unhappy with Salva

Jose Maria Del Nido has claimed no one will forget Salva Ballesta remarks.

Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido has claimed no one at the club will forget the scathing accusations made by Salva Ballesta regarding Javi Navarro's challenge on Juan Arango.

The Andalucian outfit's president was furious after hearing what the club's former player had said and labelled him a 'very sick man'.

Navarro's collision left Mallorca midfielder, Arango, with a broken cheekbone and 42 stitches in a mouth wound and many pundits and people involved in the game have already condemned the incident.

But Salva went a step further and claimed that Navarro, and his Sevilla team-mate Pablo Alfaro, deliberately injure players and most of the time the challenges are pre-meditated.

"Nobody from Sevilla, from the president down, will ever forget the words of Salva," Del Nido said.

"But I am not going to make any reply to a man that is clearly very sick."

Del Nido then made an appeal to the Spanish FA's (RFEF) Disciplinary Committee to treat Navarro's case fairly, despite the public debate on the matter.

"I just hope they do it like it is just another case to come before them," he continued.

"There is nothing extraordinary about this particular incident. If they do think the player should be penalised, then it should only be for a Euro."
