Sevilla's Dario Silva could be set for a move to Qatar.
Uruguayan striker Dario Silva could be set for a move to Qatar after becoming surplus to requirements at Primera Liga side Sevilla.
Silva is not part of new coach Juande Ramos' plans for the 2005/06 campaign, and the 32-year-old has not travelled with the squad for their pre-season tour of China.
The lively striker is under contract at the Sanchez Pizjuan until next summer, and is negotiating with club president Jose Maria Del Nido for an early exit from Sevilla.
Interest from other Spanish clubs for Silva has been slow in coming forward, and the Uruguayan is not prepared to play in the Segunda Division.
Recent interest coming out of Qatar could be enough to persuade Silva to leave Spain this summer.
