Real Madrid bounced back to winning ways in fine styles with a 4-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna at The Santiago Bernabeu.
A Hector own goal after just 10 minutes put Real on their way, before Ronaldo doubled their lead just before half time.
The second half Madrid continued their superiority and secured victory with two goals in the last 20 minutes.
Sergio Ramos added the third on 70 minutes, before Julio Baptista fired home with just eight minutes left.
The win takes Real back into second place.
Sevilla closed to within two points of the top four in Spain after a 1-0 win over Valencia - the team currently in fourth.
