Fabiano blow for Sevilla

Sevilla's win over Nastic came at a cost with Luis Fabiano picking up a hamstring injury.

Sevilla's victory over Nastic at the weekend came at a cost with striker Luis Fabiano picking up a hamstring injury.

The Brazilian was forced off after 49 minutes of the 2-1 win and replaced by compatriot Renato.

Test have now revealed he has a hamstring tear and will be sidelined for around a month.

It is an untimely blow for Sevilla boss Juande Ramos who is already without summer striking recruit Javier Chevanton who is also in the treatment room.

It means Ramos has only two fit forwards at his disposal, Kepa Blanco and Fredi Kanoute, who after his brace on Sunday moved to the top of the Primera scoring charts.

There was further bad news from the Nastic game with Daniel Alves picking up his fifth booking of the season meaning he will sit out the club's next league fixture.
