Sevilla midfielder Christian Poulsen admits even a knee injury could not sour his first appearance against Real Madrid.
Poulsen started Saturday's 2-1 home win over Real, with the result seeing the teams trade places in the table as Sevilla moved up to second.
Though the Denmark international was forced to come off just past the hour mark with a slight knee complaint, he was delighted to feature against Real.
He does not feel it is a serious injury and enjoyed the atmosphere at the Sanchez Pizjuan once he had overcome a few butterflies.
"I can't deny that I was more nervous than usual to play my first match against Real Madrid," Poulsen told Ekstra Bladet.
"The atmosphere was truly intensive and then the stadium was all a big tifo in red and white when we came on.
"I have still got some problems at the back of my knee.
"I mentioned it to the coach at the break and it was okay, so I was substituted."
