Sevilla sweat on keeper

Sevilla goalkeeper Andres Palop is an injury doubt for the second leg against Spurs.

Sevilla goalkeeper Andres Palop is an injury doubt for the second leg of the Uefa Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur.

Palop suffered a leg injury in Thursday's 2-1 win over Spurs in the first leg at the Sanchez Pizjuan.

He is awaiting the results of further tests on the problem, with the Uefa Cup holders assessing how serious the muscle tear is.

If it is a rupture, then Palop will miss Sunday's Primera Liga clash with Racing Santander and next Thursday's return with Spurs at White Hart Lane.

Palop is determined to be available for the trip to North London and is being patient as he waits to learn the extent of the injury.

"Perhaps it's possible to accelerate the recuperation, but now we need time to know more about the injury," Palop told the Spanish media.

"I want to be in a condition to help the team in these key moments of the season."
