Rumours that Laurent Blanc will be the next Chelsea manager are strengthening, with the story first reported by France Football appearing on L'Équipe's front page. (L'Équipe)

Brazilian midfielder Thiago Maia is wanted by Newcastle. The Magpies approached his club, Lille, about the possibility of signing the 21-year-old but the French side indicated that he's not for sale. (Le 10 Sport)
