JAVIER ZANETTI has pledged to help Internazionale win the Scudetto for the club's supporters, and admitted he is disappointed Ronaldo did not say goodbye to the players.
The Argentinian international is determined to bounce back from last season's disappointment of throwing away the title on the last day of the campaign.
"I feel wonderful," he told planetfootball.com. "Especially after beating Sporting Lisbon.
"Frankly, I think a few persons know exactly how important it was after what happened to us on that terrible 5th of May in Stadio Olimpico.
"It is true we live with that nightmare but I have the solution - think only about the next game. Nothing in the past, nothing in the future.
"The same with the national team disappointment. I just took a look at myself and said - 'I gave everything, this is the sport, sometimes you win, sometimes not. Let's move on.'
"We were the best team in the group - against Sweden we had eight big opportunities."
However, Zanetti is focusing on Inter with the new Serie A season getting underway this weekend.
"It is very simple, Hector Cuper adapted quickly because he loves to work very, very hard," he revealed.
"I prefer to say nothing about Ronaldo.
"He had no problems with the other players, so I have nothing to say.
"If there were problems with somebody else, ask somebody else about it.
"Okay, I'm the captain so I'm disappointed that he didn't say 'bye bye' to us."
The versatile midfielder appreciates the input of the supporters at Giuseppe Meazza.
"Here, at Inter, the thing I love more than everything are the fans," he smiled.
"They are always, always with us.
"Thank you, guys, this season, we'll win for you.
"This is my eighth season at Inter, the best moment was last term as we were the best until the last 45 minutes.
"The worst moment was the last 45 minutes of the season!"
