The tough-tackling midfielder has been in the Spanish capital since he was 15 but has just started to make an impact in the engine room of the European Champions.
"To say the truth, I didn't expect to play in the first team from the first Liga match," said Cambiasso.
"Nobody is the owner of a position in the team and the worst mistake that you can do in a team like this is to think that you have won yourself a place.
"You have to work harder every day and each training session is the moment to show that you are improving and that you want to convince the coach that you can be useful for the team in the next match.
"Personaly I am enjoying what this team is doing. We are enjoying ourselves inside the pitch so the people is also doing the same in the stands. I think that we are giving everyone a good sensation".
