Del Bosque delighted with San Moix win

VICENTE DEL BOSQUE has lauded his Real Madrid charges for their thrilling 5-1 win at Mallorca, and singled out keeper Iker Casillas for particular praise.

Ronaldo and Raul each netted a brace, with substitute Guti putting a gloss on the scoreline with a fine fifth.

Real were simply superb going forward, but the scoreline could have been different had Mallorca been able to beat Casillas on more than one occasion.

Casillas could do nothing about the opener from Samuel Eto`o, but made stunning saves to deny 'El Rifle' Walter Pandiani and Harold Lozano.

After the game, Del Bosque said: "Casillas was wonderful.

"What is clear is that Mallorca had chances and dominated for spells, but it was different in the second-half.

"We want to remain in the title race, and for that reason the title we won this week (Intercontinental Cup) is forgotten."

French maestro Zinedine Zidane was not at his best in San Moix, but felt Real deserved praise for seeing off a good team.

"Mallorca were brilliant," he said. "But we were better.

"We like to play good football and score great goals, which we did."
