Casillas is under contract to the reigning Spanish champions until 2006 and has no yearning desire to leave Madrid.
But he is aware there may come a day when Real decide to dispense with his services and bring another top-class goalkeeper to the club.
The 22-year-old has not received any offers to leave Real, with even moneybags Chelsea not having beaten a path to his door.
The Spain international, though, admits England would be his favourable option if his time at Real should ever come to an end.
"If there is a day when I'm no longer enjoying myself here because somebody arrives and says they don't want you, I would think about going away," Casillas told TV programme El Tirachinas.
"I would have to go to another team and I know clearly that it would have to be outside of Spain but, at the moment, I am under contract until 2006 and I am very happy.
"England appeals to me and it would please me to go there, to another city.
"I have not really raised the issue so far but I have it in my head.
"Abramovich? I know he has not called me but perhaps he has left a message to me in my voice mailbox."
