Samuel confident over Real move

Walter Samuel says that he is not thinking about a possible injury during the Copa America which could affect his move to Real Madrid.

The Argentinian stopper will represent his country in Peru before penning a deal at Real Madrid from Italian side Roma.

Despite the risk of picking up an injury during the Copa America, Samuel is remaining positive about his proposed move to Spain.

"I am thinking positively and I don't think at all about the chance of getting injured during the Copa America in Peru," said Samuel.

"I will try not to get hurt during those games, there isn't any other thing that I could do.

"I am not afraid of the games I have to play before being formally a Real Madrid player.

"I have wanted to play for Real Madrid for a long time so I am going to take care."

Samuel is not put off by the fact that he has talked so much about Real but has not yet actually signed - and is looking to his future in the Spanish capital.

"Those are things that the officials decided. The most important thing is that I am going to play for Real Madrid for a long time.

"I am not interested in money, I wanted to come to Real Madrid.

"Having the chance to play for Real Madrid is the best thing that could happen to me. I can only compare this with playing for the national team.

"I always see that this team wants to attack in each game. It's very difficult for a defender to play in that way but I like it because everyone in this team wants to win titles.

"I am very proud because this is the first transfer done by the president. I will try to do my work in the best possible way."
