Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez has been ruled out for the next six weeks through injury.
Lopez was substituted after suffering a knock during the Copa del Rey fixture against Real Betis in Seville.
However, the full extent of the injury was not known until Lopez underwent medical tests which revealed the player had suffered a muscle tear in his right leg.
Doctors have advised that the injury will take at least six weeks to heal and the news is a blow to Real's understudy.
With the impressive Iker Casillas Real's first choice, Lopez has seen his match action restricted primarily to appearances in the Copa del Rey this season
