Mancini denies Adriano reports

Inter coach Roberto Mancini has denied reports linking Adriano with Real Madrid.

Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini has denied reports suggesting Adriano could leave the club this summer.

Recent rumours have linked the Brazilian striker with a move to Real Madrid during the transfer window but Mancini believes his star striker will remain at the Nerazzurri.

Adriano endured a rather inauspicious campaign last season when the striker's form tailed off but Mancini has faith in the 24-year-old's pedigree.

"I think he will stay," Mancini told Radio Dee Jay.

When questioned about the possibility of the Nerazzurri signing Fiorentina's Luca Toni, Mancini admitted that he was unsure if any deal would be possible.

Despite the Viola issuing a firm hands-off warning to any clubs monitoring last season's Serie A top goalscorer, Nerazzurri technical director Gabriele Oriali claimed recently that the Milan club will wrap up a deal in due course.

"I have read what has been written about Toni. He's a good player but he's at Fiorentina," added Mancini.

"I think it is unlikely that he will be joining Inter."
