Mexican starlet Jose Andres Guardado says he is still keen to join Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The CF Atlas man is being tipped for a bright future in the game and has already been linked with numerous top clubs in Europe.
Serie A sides Internazionale, Fiorentina, Milan and Udinese have all been linked with the talented 19-year-old, while Madrid have reportedly contacted his current club about bringing him to La Liga.
Guardado is currently receiving mixed messages about his future, with both his agent and his club claiming to be at different stages in negotiations with Real.
"I am okay to respect what is being said about Real Madrid but there is a kind of confusion between the officials of Atlas, my agent and the people from Spain," Guardado said.
"My agent has said to me that he spoke to Spanish officials and that they are still interested.
"But the president of Atlas, Ernesto Fregoso, says that they have closed the negotiations so I don't know what is happening now.
"My agent insists there is still a chance of me being transferred.
"There has also been interest in me from some German teams but that has been stopped since the moment we knew Real Madrid were interested in me."
