Milan make Ronaldo move

Milan are understood to be closing in on a deal for Brazilian legend Ronaldo.

Milan are understood to be closing in on a deal for Brazilian legend Ronaldo.

The 30-year-old is amongst the clutch of big names at Real Madrid that have been told their futures are no longer at El Santiago Bernabeu.

David Beckham was also informed that he was no longer considered part of Fabio Capello's plans and he wasted little time in formalising his move to Los Angeles Galaxy.

Now Ronaldo appears to be closing on his next move with a move back to Italy looking the most likely option.

The Samba superstar played for Milan's city rivals Internazionale before moving to Madrid and he now looks set to return to Northern Italy.

It seems that Ronaldo will join Milan on a loan deal until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent deal.

There is also interest from the Middle East, but Ronaldo does not seem ready to bid farewell to European football like his team-mate Beckham.

Meanwhile, Milan have confirmed the capture of Messina goalkeeper Marco Storari.

The 30-year-old has penned a three-year deal with Milan after a quick deal was struck.

Milan made their move after Australian Zeljiko Kalac suffered a serious knee injury at the weekend.
