Palop has admitted he knows little about the proposed move, which has been rumoured in the press since Molina admitted that his testicular cancer had turned malignant on Monday and revealed he was temporarily retiring.
"I cannot comment anything because I do not know more," said Palop.
He added: "It is a thing between clubs and I only know what has been rumoured in the press.
"Depor is a great team that can interest any player. I, at the moment, want to be cautious and to keep calm and wait for events to unfold."
The 29-year-old keeper was linked to Depor but has been with Valencia for his entire career, but was loaned to Villarreal from 1997-99.
Palop has played in 58 games and conceded 72 goals in the top-flight and has a contract with Valencia until June 2005, but barring injury, is unlikely to dislodge Spanish number one Santiago Canizares at Mestalla.
