Juve make move on Matuzalem

Juventus have made the first move in the race for Brescia midfielder Francelino Matuzalem by reportedly making an offer of ‚é¼3.7 million for his services.

The Brazilian has said that he would like to move to a bigger club this summer and a number of the big guns in Serie A have been looking at him.

Internazionale made their interest known, but it is Juve who have made the first move in bidding ‚é¼3.7 million for him.

However, Brescia president Gino Corioni wants more money for one of his star players and is holding out for a bigger offer.

Although Juve are favourites, Roma and Spanish champions Valencia are also monitoring the man who helped Brescia stay up this term.

Brescia are hoping that a bidding war ensues to make sure they get the best possible fee for their main man.

Corioni, meanwhile, says that they are certain to keep hold of veteran midfielder Luigi Di Biagio despite interest from Fiorentina.

Di Biagio is reportedly waiting to see if the Viola get promoted back to Serie A before making a decision.
