The club's doctors are confident that he will avoid going under the knife, but even he does not he still faces three more weeks on the sidelines.
"With this type of injury, 99 times out of 100 it doesn't need to be operated on," confirmed Doctor Josep Maria Vilarubias.
"I do not think that he will need surgery, but we will find out on Monday whether that is so.
"If he does not, then he will require three weeks of light treatment, because medicine does not heal this kind of problem.
"He has had problems in this area before and that has not helped."
Vicente picked up the injury in the Champions League on September 30 and the side have not won a single match since.
Meanwhile, the Che have revealed that defender Roberto Ayala will also be sidelined for another three weeks.
The Argentine sustained cartilage damage to his right knee while representing his country at the Olympic Games in Athens, and has not played for Valencia so far this season.
