The 19-year-old, already a full Mali international, has now agreed a deal to keep him at the Mestalla until 2011.
Sissoko's previous contract ran until 2007, but such have been the strides he has made during his time at the Primera outfit, Valencia have tied him down to a new long-term deal.
The teenager joined from Auxerre in the summer of 2003 in a controversial transfer that eventually saw the French club awarded compensation.
Despite his tender years, Sissoko has forced his way into the first-team picture at Valencia and has made eight starts for Claudio Ranieri's team this term despite stiff competition in central midfield from the likes of Ruben Baraja and David Albelda.
Valencia hailed Sissoko's progress, and insisted he was a key part of the club's future.
"He has made such progression already at the age of 19 that we need his presence at the club for many years to come," a club director stated.
The player's release clause has been set at é¼60 million to ward off interest.
