Valencia have confirmed that midfielder Ruben Baraja will be out of action for around five weeks through injury.The Spain international has torn a muscle in his right leg and will now be confined to the treatment room for over a month.
Baraja sustained the problem during a training session last Saturday ahead of the game at Atletico Madrid.
The news will come as a big blow to Che boss Antonio Lopez as he bids to try and guide the side to a top four finish and UEFA Champions League qualification.
Valencia will also be without Curro Torres, Vicente and Marco Caneira for the visit of Getafe to the Mestalla on Sunday.
