The 25-year-old shot-stopper was one of the few stars for The Canary Island outfit as they slumped to relegation to Division Two last season.
Aragoneses is keen to remain in the top-flight and will be happy to join the ambitious Atletico Madrid.
The move is the second swoop on Tenerife as Aragoneses follows striker Luis Garcia in leaving the club and heading for Vicente Calderon.
The deal will also see Yugoslavian midfielder Valjko Paunovic moving in the opposite direction for the season but with the option of a more permanent switch then.
Tenerife coach Edwald Lienen is determined to get his side back into the big time at the first attempt, and believes he can do without his keeper for their campaign.
Atletico, meanwhile, have still not given up hope of tempting Manuel Rui Costa to the club from Milan, with director of football Paulo Futre still hoping to persuade him to move.
