Tedesco unhappy with sale

Perugia's departing Giovanni Tedesco has expressed his disappointment at the decision to sell him to Serie B Genoa.

Tedesco, who confirmed the sale was purely for financial reasons, wanted to make it clear that he did not leave Perugia willingly - but insisted that he was pleased with what he had seen at Genoa.

"Perugia game me no choice and I left crying," said Tedesco.

"I leave with a huge regret that I could not take Perugia to safety and I wish my former team-mates the best of luck.

"Perugia sold me for financial reasons. They did not consider my feelings and what I wanted and they sold me.

"I hope that people know I did not chose to desert the club.

"However, in Genoa they have already showed their enthusiasm at my arrival."

Meanwhile, Perugia have brought in a 16-year-old from Spain - Alejandro Fernandez Sanchez.

The youngster was considered one of Atletico's best prospects but because of his age he had not signed a contract with the club.
