The Serbo-Montenegrin star is convinced his new team can challenge for honours this term and paid special tribute to team-mates Torres and Martin Petrov.
"It is a glorious victory because Barcelona are one of the best teams in the world," he declared.
"My partnership with Fernando Torres, and also Martin Petrov, is getting better every day.
"Myself and Torres worked well together in the game, and Petrov played excellently - especially in the first half.
"He (Petrov) is very quick and played many dangerous balls.
"I am convinced this team can go a long way in the league.
"What's more we have the best supporters in Spain as they really help Atletico in the more difficult moments."
