Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Leo Franco has been ruled out for three weeks with a thigh injury.
Franco is suffering from a ruptured muscle in his right thigh and doctors have told him he must spend time on the sidelines if he is to avoid further damage.
The 29-year-old Argentinian suffered the injury during Saturday's 0-0 draw with Real Betis, and his absence is a major blow for the club as they battle for a Uefa Cup place in the final weeks of the season.
Ivan Cuellar, who made a positive impression when he replaced Franco against Betis, is expected to play the upcoming games against Espanyol, Getafe and Barcelona.
