Deportivo La Coruna suffered a shock defeat as Osasuna sealed a 3-1 win at La Riazor.Deportivo La Coruna suffered a shock defeat in their first home game of the season as Osasuna sealed a 3-1 win at La Riazor.
Deportivo has been looking to seal their first success of the season ahead of UEFA Champions League, which kicks-off next week,
Things looked good for Javier Irureta's men when Uruguayan Walter Pandiani put them ahead after 19 minutes.
An action packed second half began frantically as Osasuna levelled through Australian John Aloisi (55, pictured) as he dispatched a penalty.
The visitors were then reduced to ten-men when defender Izquierdo was sent off for a second bookable offence.
A Deportivo victory looked all but odds-on, but the Basque outfit stunned the home side as Savo Milosevic grabbed a brace (62 & 80) to hand his side an unlikely victory.
A shocking mistake from defender Miguel Boardez handed Atletico Madrid victory over Albacete.
The game looked to be heading for a goalless draw, a result which would have been fair after a closely fought contest.
However, with just five minutes left the game was turned on its head.
Luis Perea played a long ball from the right flank, but Boardez - who was completely unmarked - miscued his header and Fernando Torres raced clear and rounded Raul Valbuena before firing home.
Albacete were then caught out in injury time as they pushed forward looking for an unlikely equaliser.
It was Torres who created the goal with a wonderful run down the right before squaring for Ariel Ibagaza, who coolly chipped the ball into the back of the net.
Atletico are now level on top of the table with Barcelona and Real Madrid - who are the only other teams to have a 100 percent record in La Liga.
A brilliant hat-trick from Argentine Maxi Rodriguez helped Espanyol to a stunning 4-1 success at Real Betis.
The South American forward struck the opener after 18 minutes and former Barcelona outcast Dani made it 2-0 just before the interval.
Rodriguez soon sealed his treble (51 & 64) before Edu pulled back a consolation for the home side.
Newly promoted Getafe failed to earn their first point of the season after they lost 2-1 at home to Mallorca.
Luis Garcia (39) and Juan Arango (52) gave The Islanders a two-goal advantage before Victoriano Nano pulled one back late on.
Levante, on the other hand, secured their first win since arriving in the top-flight.
They went behind after just 18 minutes when David Aganzo scored for Racing Santander.
Bulgarian international Vladimir Manchev grabbed his first goal for the club when he levelled just after half time.
Nacho (66) and Ivory Coast star Felix Ettien (88) sealed victory.
Villarreal and Real Sociedad are both still without victory after they played out a goalless draw at El Madrigal.
Malaga and Real Zaragoza also played out a scoreless draw at La Rosaleda.
