Villarreal have relegated Levante following a 4-1 win at El Madrigal.Villarreal have secured third spot in La Liga following a 4-1 win over Levante that condemns them to relegation after just one year in Spain's top flight.
Levante had Mallorca in the drop zone at one stage when Gustavo Reggi headed the visitors in front at El Madrigal but that was as good as it got.
Two goals just before half-time from Josico and Diego Forlan turned around the contest within the space of five minutes.
Forlan moved clear at the top of the Liga scoring charts when he netted his second late on to condemn Levante to the Segunda Liga and secure the top scorer award with 25 goals for the season.
To add insult to injury Villarreal added a fourth deep into injury time when Forlan crossed for former Birmingham City striker Luciano Figueroa to score.
With Levante crashing away from home, Mallorca secured their top-flight status with a 1-1 at home to Real Betis to complete a remarkable escape from the drop.

David Aganzo netted the only goal of the game with the crucial strike arriving after just 33 minutes.
