Racing Santander have rejected a bid from Deportivo for goalkeeper Dudu Awat.Racing Santander are understood to have turned down an approach from Deportivo La Coruna for goalkeeper Duda Awat.
The Israel international has been in sparkling form this term and last week saved a penalty from Juan Roman Riquelme to earn his side a valuable 1-0 win over Villarreal.
He also denied Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho from the spot earlier in the campaign and has looked an assured presence for Racing between the sticks.
He joined the Cantabrian outfit from Maccabi Haifa in the summer of 2003 and has been undisputed number one ever since.
His displays have not gone unnoticed amongst Racing's Primera rivals and Valencia and Villarreal both registered their interest in him last summer.
Depor also enquired at that time, but returned with a firm offer once the January transfer window opened.
However, it was rejected by Racing president Manuel Huerta who deemed it too low.
Depor could well return with an improved bid as boss Joaquin Caparros does not seem convinced by any of the three goalkeepers currently at his disposal; Francisco Molina, Gustavo Munua and Dani Mallo.
