Veljko Paunovic insists Liga leaders Getafe are concentrating on survival.
Veljko Paunovic believes that Getafe will not get carried away by their superb start to the season.Getafe, who thrashed Real Zaragoza 5-2 on Sunday, currently top La Liga ahead of the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Paunovic, who joined Getafe from Bundesliga side Hannover in the summer, is stressing that Getafe are just looking to survive in their second season in La Liga.
"Despite the sensational position on the table, our main target still is the survival in the League," Paunovic said.
"Everyone in the club is very modest and trying to keep his feet on the ground. There is media hype over the recent successes but we are fully aware that it will be impossible to keep this position."
Paunovic puts Getafe's success down to the coach Bernd Schuster.
"Schuster is an offensive-minded coach. I like the way he works with the players. He is a great man and you can learn a lot from him. There is no doubt that his tactics are playing a fundamental part in our great results," he enthused.
