Espanyol looking for two more signings

ESPANYOL coach Juande Ramos is expected to ask president Daniel Sanchez Llibre for two more buys before the season starts having failed to land Ivan De la Pena.

The 'Little Buddha' priced himself out of a move to Montjuic, leaving Juande Ramos looking for a playmaker and a full back, with the latter being the priority.

A meeting scheduled for Monday will decide the club's direction, with just two weeks remaining until the transfer deadline.

In it, Juande Ramos is expected to plead for a left-sided defender, something Espanyol have already begun to work upon.

Delio Toledo is believed to be one of three players that the Spanish side are looking at, yet Real Zaragoza are believed to be close to pipping them to his signature.

In Italy sources are suggesting that Milan's Danish international Martin Laursen could arrive on loan, although the Serie A club have denied any contact.

On the subject of a playmaker, Johan Micoud or Andrea Pirlo were two names mentioned but neither are totally committed to that role.
