Deportivo La Coruna have opened talks with Milan about Fabricio Coloccini.Deportivo La Coruna have opened negotiations with Milan with regard to landing Argentine defender Fabricio Coloccini.
The Primera outfit want the South American to shore up their backline which has come in for increasing criticism in recent weeks.
Depor were not planning to move in the winter transfer market, but their poor form has led president Augusto Cesar Lendoiro to relent to the wishes of boss Javier Irureta.
The Galicians first enquired about Coloccini at the start of the season, but were put off by Milan's demands.
The Italians are willing to offload the stopper who has made only three starts this term, but want to sell him in a permanent deal.
Depor are looking for an initial loan deal with an option to make it permanent in June, and - claim reports in Spain - are close to securing such an agreement.
The player already has a wealth of experience in the Spanish game having had season-long loan spells at Alaves, Villarreal and Atletico Madrid in the past.
