Deportivo La Coruna's Lionel Scaloni has been ruled out of action for six weeks.Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Lionel Scaloni has been ruled out of action for six weeks with a thigh injury.
The 26-year-old Argentine suffered a serious tear to his right thigh muscle during last weekend's league game against Villarreal.
Scaloni sustained the injury in a challenge 12 minutes from time in the 1-1 draw on Sunday and was forced from the pitch.
It was to ultimately cost Depor dear as they were forced to play the closing stages with ten men having already made three substitutions, and conceded a late equaliser which damaged their European ambitions.
Tests have shown Scaloni will be out for a minimum of five weeks, although the Galician outfit were given better news of Diego Tristan.
The striker also limped off against Villarreal, but he has suffered only a thigh strain and should be back in training later in the week.
